With the aid of these workshops we are developing flexible model of international production of contemporary performance arts. It is an open system of production, not bound by a set-ensemble logic of a fixed number of constant members. In collaboration with our co-producers and partner we organize annual workshops, thematically linked with that year’s project. The goal of these workshops is always an encounter with the audience, which is why they always finish with a performance. We also offer performers that discover their creative potential in our way of thinking and working the chance to take part in our productions.
The workshops takes the form of continuous research: usually three day sessions two or more times per month or a six day session once monthly for sex months. The work dynamics are adjusted to the production capabilities and circumstances in which the workshop is taking place. There are no age, aesthetic or formal limitations for participating; previous stage experience is, however, desired.
So far, we’ve organized these workshops in Belgium (POPOK - Posthogeschool Voor Podiumkunsten Antwerp, 2003) Serbia (Cultural Centre Novi Sad, 2004; Cultural Centre REX Belgrade, 2007), Austria (KE Theatre Celovec, 2004), Croatia (EkS-scena Zagreb, 2005; society Zalet Zadar, 2007; &TD Theatre Zagreb, 2008), Ireland (Balkan Irish Arts Forum Dublin, 2008) and Slovenia.
